Our History  

          While the firm name of Ridenour & Murphy, P.A. was not legally formed until 2009, the firm's Western North Carolina mountain roots are long and deep.  Eric Ridenour was hired as a young associate of Phil Haire and Ben Bridgers in 1995, and became partners with them in 1998.  Eric was taught the ins and outs of the court room by Phil Haire, now in his fifth term in the North Carolina House of Representatives, and legalese for appellate work and trial briefs from legal scholar Ben Bridgers.  While Ben enjoys retired life and grandchildren, and Phil continues to represent the citizens of Western North Carolina at the state level, we have been known to call them from time to time with a difficult issue or merely to obtain that second opinion from a respected peer.  A long standing tradition of professionalism, legal intellect, and aggressive representation continues.
